About HWA

Headlock Wrestling Academy is a training facility in the western suburbs of Chicago created to provide elite instruction in Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestling. We train athletes who want to learn from a coach with national as well as international wrestling experience.

Our mission is to teach not only moves and strategy, but to provide young athletes with tools they can use to achieve all of their goals in life.

HWA is an IKWF chartered club and is sanctioned by USA Wrestling, which is the same organization that trains our Olympic wrestlers.

Post-season wrestling at Headlock concentrates on Freestyle/Greco-Roman technique and strategy and we compete as TEAM HEADLOCK at local, as well as state, regional and national tournaments.
